An Attorney Who Fights For The Underdog

Jennie E. Clark

Jennie E. Clark

Jennie has always had two passions: the continuous pursuit of learning and the desire to fight for the underdog. She grew up in Columbia and was a devoted Gamecock, receiving both her undergraduate finance degree and graduate law degree from the University of South Carolina. She worked in investment banking before law school and served as a disability attorney for the federal government before deciding to practice veterinary medicine, using her love of science and animals to pursue her continuous fight for those with no voice. She has now returned to Columbia, with her four motley rescue dogs, to open a solo practice devoted to criminal defense as well as personal injury. Her criminal defense focus is on using her scientific and legal background to advocate for her clients on such issues as mental illness and incompetency, the chemistry of substitute drugs being rapidly classified as illegal, the science behind marijuana odor detection for probable cause, expert testimony issues of mental health providers testifying in sex abuse cases, and professional licensing issues. With personal injury cases, she understands the scientific and medical issues present in issues of standard of care, damages, medical and psychological injuries, and the importance of expert testimony analysis.
